We need to remember that whilst G W Bush is probably certifiable, only 50% of the US population were mad enough to vote for him and approval ratings are down another 20 points now. It's just all a bit late?

Yeah, just a tad...how slow ARE we and why wasn't anyone paying attention to his first term as moron - I mean president.

    Great cartoon, btw!

Thanks MG & apologies for the rather rude header - I know you are not all stupid or humourless;-)

I actually found the cartoon on a Californian site - it's in one of their state newspapers (can't remember which) by a guy called Toles, who had lots of good stuff published.

But it is a good play on words.

The cartoon brings up a tribal memory of the Ribbon Creek Incident at the US Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina in 1956. A drunk Drill Instructor took his charges for a midnight march in a swamp, and 5 of them drowned.

Bush is a lot worse. I would like to see him impeached, removed from office, indicted, tried, convicted, fined, jailed, and, finally, hung by his neck until dead. There is probably no sense in me wishing for him to be drawn and quartered while alive, but I can dream.

Nah, not rude at all! It's absolutely correct when describing what GWB has done to our country. Great job!
